We would thoroughly recommend the Montebello Splendid. We stayed for four nights in February 2006 and could not fault anything about it. The dinner we had in the restaurant was one of the best we had in our time in Florence and Ilvano, the barman, makes superb cocktails. The rooms are beautiful, the service superb. What more can I say!
